Nearly eight years ago, I fell down the Linux rabbit hole (and watching Matrix may or not may not have been a part of it). I was drawn to free and open source software, to the idea that every layer of the system was visible, and configurable

I broke everything, and then I would spend hours rebuilding what I had just destroyed. Somewhere in that cycle of breaking and rebuilding, I started to get interested in development

Programming grew naturally out of that environment. At first it was small scripts. Then tools. Then projects. If something did not exist, I could build it, and just thinking of something and implementing it became very enjoyable

Today, I am pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science while continuing to build as much as I can. Also focusing on pulling my old projects from the grave and now adding them to my portfolio

I would call myself a jack of all trades, though probably more of a deuce. Either way, my girlfriend finally got me to stop sitting on this and actually start writing, so here we are. Looking forward to seeing where it goes
